Privacy policy

ailuv Timer ("the app") is published by ailuv (support@ailuv.biz). This policy describes what the app does with information on your device.

Summary

Workouts, session history, settings, muscle-group tags, and custom recordings stay in the app's storage on your device. There is no ailuv account and no ailuv server that receives that content. We do not sell it.

The iOS app, and the Google Play app from version 1.0.2, include the Facebook SDK from Meta so we can measure which ads lead to an install. That SDK can send app events to Meta and your device's advertising identifier, unless you turn tracking off. The app does not show ads. Google Play version 1.0.1 does not include this SDK.

Data stored on your device

Workouts, history, settings, custom interval-end recordings, and purchase status are stored locally on your device (app storage). We do not operate an account system and we do not upload this data to ailuv servers.

Purchases

Optional Timer Pro subscriptions and lifetime unlock are processed by Google Play or the App Store. We do not receive your card number. Apple or Google may share a purchase token so the app can unlock Timer Pro and restore purchases on the same store account. A Play purchase does not restore on the App Store, and an App Store purchase does not restore on Google Play.

Notifications and background audio

During a workout the app may show a persistent notification and run a foreground / background audio session so the timer and voice cues can continue if the screen is off. You can deny notification permission; the in-app timer still runs while the app is open.

Microphone

If you choose Hold to Record in Settings, the app uses the microphone to capture a short custom interval-end sound. The recording stays on your device. We do not upload it. You can refuse the permission and keep using the built-in sounds.

Microphone recordings are never uploaded

A custom interval-end recording is written to the app's own storage on your device and is used only to play that sound during a workout. It is not uploaded, not shared with ailuv, and not accessible to us. Deleting the recording in Settings, clearing the app's storage, or uninstalling the app removes it.

This use of the microphone is optional and only active while you are actively recording in Settings — the app does not access the microphone at any other time. Because this data is processed only on your device and is never transmitted off it, it is not disclosed as data collection under Google Play's Data safety and App Store's App Privacy programs.

Calendar

If you tap Add to calendar, the app opens the system calendar (or a calendar page) with a draft event for that workout. It does not add events silently. You confirm or cancel in the calendar app. This is a Timer Pro feature.

Network

The app may open this website (privacy, terms, share link) in a browser, and may contact the store billing service to list prices and complete a purchase. Exporting CSV or sharing uses the system file or share sheet on your device. On iOS, and on Google Play from version 1.0.2, the app may also contact Meta as described under Ad measurement.

No ads in the app

The app does not show ads, and we are not adding in-app ads. There is no crash-reporting SDK. We do not build an advertising profile from your workouts, and workout content is not sent to Meta.

Ad measurement

The iOS app, and the Google Play app from version 1.0.2, include the Facebook SDK from Meta Platforms, Inc. We use it to measure installs and app opens that come from our ads. The SDK can send Meta app events such as that the app was installed or opened, and the advertising identifier described below. Workout content is not sent.

On iOS, if you allow tracking when iOS asks, the SDK can send the Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA). If you choose Ask App Not to Track, the SDK does not receive the IDFA. You can change this later in iOS Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Tracking.

On Google Play from version 1.0.2, the SDK can send the Google Advertising ID, and it reads the Play install referrer so an install can be matched to an ad click. You can delete the advertising ID or turn off ad personalization in the device's Google settings. Google Play version 1.0.1 does not include this SDK and does not use the advertising ID. Meta's own policy is at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

Deleting your data

Because there is no ailuv account, we cannot delete workouts from a server. Uninstall the app or clear the app's storage on your device to remove local workouts, history, settings, and recordings. Store subscriptions are cancelled in Google Play or App Store settings, not by uninstalling. Measurement events already received by Meta are held by Meta, not by ailuv. Choosing Ask App Not to Track stops the IDFA from being sent after that choice. Deleting the Google Advertising ID stops that identifier from being sent after that choice.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, or under the minimum age of digital consent in your country where that age is higher.

We will update this page if the app's data behaviour changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be described in the app's release notes.
